Firefighter holding up the Air Guard gas and CO detector

First night: 41 PPM. Old detector – green light, completely silent.

“I ordered it mostly to end an argument with my wife. Three days after installing it near the furnace, the display showed 41 PPM at 11 PM. Our previous detector had a green light and made no sound. The gas company was at our door by 7 AM. Cracked heat exchanger. We’d been breathing it for weeks.”

The green light problem

Your detector only has a green light.
Don’t become another headline.

400+

CO deaths a year(CDC)

50,000+

ER visits a year(CDC)

4Hours

Legal alarm delay(UL 2034)

“In over 10,000 home inspections, the most dangerous thing I’ve consistently found isn’t a cracked heat exchanger. It’s the false certainty a green light creates in the people living behind it.”

FAQs

My furnace was just serviced. Do I still need this?

Annual service reduces risk significantly — it doesn't eliminate it. Heat exchangers can develop fractures between service visits. Gas connections can shift with temperature changes. Flues can become partially blocked without triggering anything visible during inspection. Real-time monitoring covers what scheduled maintenance can't: what's happening tonight, between service calls.

Does AirGuard replace my existing carbon monoxide alarm?

No — and it's not meant to. AirGuard is a supplemental monitor designed to work alongside your primary UL-listed CO alarm. Think of it as an extra layer of visibility: while your primary alarm is there for emergencies, AirGuard lets you see the actual CO and gas levels in real time, from 0 PPM, every day. We always recommend keeping a certified primary alarm installed on every level of your home.

Will it alarm when I'm cooking?

ClearAir Guard's professional-grade sensor is calibrated to distinguish between normal cooking activity and genuine CO or gas accumulation. It is designed to alert you to actual danger — not to react to steam, humidity fluctuation, or the kind of minor air quality variation that causes false alarms in cheaper sensors.

How many units does my home actually need?

One per critical area is our recommendation: near your primary heat source, in the kitchen, in or immediately outside sleeping areas, and in any space where family spends significant time. The Complete Home 4-Pack covers the critical areas of most family homes. Larger or multi-story homes benefit from additional units — The Family Plan is designed for that.

Is AirGuard tested for safety?

Yes. AirGuard has been independently tested to the UL 2034 and UL 1484 safety standards for carbon monoxide and fuel gas detection. As a supplemental monitor, it's built to complement your primary CO alarm, giving you continuous real-time visibility into your home's air.
